    Day 2: The Caldera walk
Spectacular walk along the caldera from Fira to Oia. We stroll through the narrow lanes dotted with shops and cafes. We visit the archaeological museum where items discovered in the excavated Minoan settlement near Akrotiri are exposed. Later we will visit an interesting exhibition of 3D-reconstructions of the Minoan wall-paintings. In the afternoon, we walk along the Caldera back towards Oia village. We will enjoy great views of the volcano caldera that offer many motifs for unforgettable photographs. In a little cafe at the caldera rim, we will be fortified with some fresh-pressed orange-juice and homemade nut cake. Our route passes through some fresh-looking volcanic cinder cones. We are back in Oia in time for the world famous and utterly breathtaking sunset.
    - Meals: Breakfast, Dinner. -Overnight stay in Oia

Day 3: The Red Beach & the Akrotiri peninsula
Today we drive to the small village of Akrotiri, where a prehistoric Minoan town has been excavated. Often compared to Pompeii, Akrotiri boasts a much earlier age and preserves amazing ruins dating back to the second millennium BC. Walk through the well-kept passageway in the excavated area and marvel at the beautiful pottery, the two and three-story houses, which were once decorated with renowned wall paintings, the staircases and a great variety of rooms, roads and squares of a city 3,500 years old!
After our tour in Akrotiri, we will walk along the coastline to the famous \"red beach\" with its cinder cone. At the Taxiarhes chapel, we will see an uplifted magma-chamber that did not come to the surface but instead created a little hill. Here there is a possibility of finding some rare marine fossils. We will stroll over the Santorinian fava- & vine-fields and then relax for lunch at a little tavern with local specialties. Transfer back to our hotel.
    - Meals: Breakfast, Dinner -Overnight stay in Oia

Day 4: Boat trip to the Volcano Islands
In the morning we embark on a chartered boat that will be at our disposal for the entire day. From the little port of Amouthi, we sail to the youngest landmass of Greece: Nea Kameni, the still active volcano of Santorini. We will start early in the morning, avoiding the crowds and having the best light on the moon-like crater landscape. Hot gas-exhalations (so-called \"fumaroles\") show that the magma chamber below the volcano is still active. Later, we sail along the island to the other volcanic island Palea Kameni and arrive at Thirasia Island. There we will have a break in one of the taverns or will walk up to the village of Manolas. Enjoying the spectacular cliffs of the caldera near Thirasia and Oia from the boat, we return to Oia in the afternoon.
    - Meals: Breakfast, Dinner. -Overnight stay in Oia

Day 5: From Pyrgos to Ancient Thira and Perissa beach
Today we drive by local bus to the wonderful medieval village of Pyrgos with its towering Venetian castle on top of the hill. After a walk through the lanes of the village and its castle, the bus brings us to the highest mountain of Santorini - the Prophitis Ilias Mountain. We walk along an ancient trail to the Acropolis of Thira. At spring time we can observe many orchids and other rare plants. After about two hours we will arrive at the excavations site. Later on, we walk down to the black sand beach of Perissa, where we can get refreshments and/or swim in the sea. The bus will take us back to our hotel in the late afternoon.
    - Meals: Breakfast, Dinner. -Overnight stay in Oia

Day 6: Pumice gorge & Vlyhada beach
Today we start our tour in the wine fields near Akrotiri village. We walk through a gorge in the pumice rocks. Our path looks like a narrow channel that suddenly ends at the coast. We stroll along the beach with its spectacular ash- and pumice cliffs, until we reach an old tomato factory at Vlyhada bay. Here, we can refresh ourselves in a fish tavern, and/or spend some time at the beach for swimming. Transfer by a local bus to our hotel.
    - Meals: Breakfast, Dinner. -Overnight stay in Oia

    Day 7: Free day
Free day for relaxation, shopping in Fira or Oia or for spontaneous group activities. Also a day for doing tours that could not be done due to bad weather conditions or other causes.
